What is real? I don’t think it’s any secret.I search for the true. For too long, this truth I sought came from outside my body.I was trained to believe the experts. Those who study harder, know better and have the answers. They are above me — or so I believe.Blindly, I ingest their words as “what is real”. As a young mom, I sit in a doctor’s office. With trepidation, I admit I may be in a state of mild depression. The wise doctor looks at me and says, “No you don’t. I know depression and you don’t have it.” He babbles on….

How is Spirit nudging you to shift?
Wisdom’s Call based on Proverbs 8:1-2 How do changes happen? Sometimes, we’re swept into them and they overcome us with fury. Other times, we come open handed, asking, ready to receive the shift. Yet, I’m interested in the change that happens slow as honey. The one where seeds are sown. Patiently, in small increments, tiny, invisible shifts occur. There’s a good chance you may not even be aware it’s happening. Yet, have you ever noticed when the same theme keeps popping up in your life? Or when a situation has delighted and you think, “I need more of that!” Or…
3pm: All Shall Be Well (Lenten Pause)
This season of Lent, I am focusing on the monastic practice of seven daily pauses. Each week, I offer you a poem and piece of gradually changing art for each pause. Here we are, midafternoon, By now, the day has witnessed us trip up, led astray, race quick Ashes have fallen upon us in word and deed, we swept in by the waves of life:…
Advent Pilgrimage
It’s hard to believe, but next Sunday begins Advent. Advent is a journey. A season inviting us to prepare. A season asking us to engage and dance with it. We wait with the hope of new birth in the world. This year, I have teamed up with my friend, Monica Hix, creator of Inner Ground, and Jacinta White, poet/writer, to provide a free, online Advent Retreat. Each week, art (Ally Markotich), poetry (Jacinta White) and meditation (Monica Hix) along with guidelines for using Visio Divina and journaling prompts as an invitation to deeper reflection will be offered. The themes each week…
She Wisdom

She finds the place where paths meet and stands taller, stronger. She takes her space. She is a tree of life, ripe with fruit for those who seek her. She is a keeper of the flame, a light for all. Her mouth speaks truth and liberation. She makes clear her feminine ways were birthed by God before the oceans were in place. She…
