What is real? I don’t think it’s any secret.I search for the true.For too long, this truth I sought came from outside my body.I was trained to believe the experts.Those who study harder, know better and have the answers.They are above me — or so I believe.Blindly, I ingest their words as “what is real”. As a young mom, I sit in a doctor’s office. With trepidation, I admit I may be in a state of mild depression. The wise doctor looks at me and says, “No you don’t. I know depression and you don’t have it.” He babbles on….

Do Not Be Afraid.

Today, I sit astounded by God, the great “I am.” I’m awed by the way God doesn’t desire labels of attachment. God doesn’t lean toward one side or another. God doesn’t claim Republican status, or Democrat. God doesn’t love one nation over another. God isn’t “for” the good guys or the bad. God simply IS. Today, God spreads wide wings over immense Creation, embracing all. While the chaos whirls and the mayhem whips, God stands among a heavenly host of angels and all the saints who’ve gone before us. Resting in Uncertainty

I’m not sure about you, but I’ve noticed a wave of uncertainty swirling about. Within the last few weeks, I’ve heard uncertainty preached on, read an article in print, listened to a podcast and caught a blog online.   None by my own searching.  As I interact with others, murmurs of concern for our world are spoken, a low grade unrest revealed. In the United States, the election of our next president is a few weeks away. With two candidates who are causing quite a stir, the outcome is weighing on many. Hateful dictators are looming.
