Coming Home

Welcome to my newly designed website. Exciting things are happening. Not everything is complete, but I hope you’ll take a look around to see what’s new! Poet and painter, E.E. Cummings wrote, “It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.” Crossroads in our life offer us an opportunity, a doorway. The opening asks us to lean in, to reflect upon our inner knowing and choose the direction God is calling us toward. More often than not, this direction asks us to leave something behind. We may need to put down our busyness, place aside our people…

Advent Pilgrimage

It’s hard to believe, but next Sunday begins Advent. Advent is a journey. A season inviting us to prepare. A season asking us to engage and dance with it. We wait with the hope of new birth in the world. This year, I have teamed up with my friend, Monica Hix, creator of Inner Ground, and Jacinta White, poet/writer, to provide a free, online Advent Retreat. There are death threats and hot anger! If you’ve never encountered this story, I highly recommend reading Genesis 25:19-33:20. While Jacob fascinates me in his own right, lately, it’s Esau I’ve been considering. The Long Road of…
