Leaning Into Wonder

If WONDER was a place to go,
I’d buy a season ticket.

There I am—

ARRIVE early, wait in line
at the gates, stand on tippy toes
to see what I can see.

When the clock chimes OPEN,
I peer, anxious, at the backs of heads,
with hope all those feet move faster.

Through the threshold I go,
All of ME, a girl on a quest
to see the dazzle in the air.

I taste the flavor of the rainbow,
ride with the current of whimsy,
ooh and aah over THIS imagination.

The DAY flies by too quick
as joy carries me in her arms.
She places a piece of grass in my hand,

whispers, “Take wonder with you.”

WONDER
ARRIVE
OPEN
ME
THIS
DAY

New workshops will be announced next week! Stay tuned!
