to burst into
who you are.
I hear you talk about
the veneer of your day,
yet know you have
an invisible world
of bells and whistles
your being —
dream lives and
has the sound of your bell subdued?
the shimmer of your whistle lost luster?
maybe you need a
time to dip your hands into ocean water,
crunch your toes on mountain leaves or
nap quiet in a swaying hammock
wherever you need to go to hear
the sound of you again
(the sound of you loving yourself again) —
please. go there.
if I could walk the steps for you,
but, the truth is,
this is a choice you have to make for yourself.
you have to decide. you have to take action.
on behalf of yourself.
yes, you matter.
yes, you are loved.
yes, you deserve the time.
Lay down the belief
you must make others happy first.
Joy is gained
when you release your grip on life
to listen and linger
with the questions of the soul:
Who lives within?
Why am I here?
What is the gift I bring to the feast of life?
Do you hear the still small voice?
What it thirsts for? Of course there is risk.
This is the free fall Spirit calls you toward.
