Let Love Flow.

Love is not to be earned or worked for.
Love is nothing to strive for.
Love is.
Love is God.
God is love.
God is within us and with us.
With our God,
love is free for the taking.
Love is there to freely receive!
This is too good to be true!
What sabotages this love?
Despair, fear, cynicism, doubt, anger, guilt,
the sense I am not good enough.
If I ask
Why do bad things happen?
I must also ask
Why do good things happen?
Why do wildflowers line highways?
Why do babies smile?
Why do trees clap their leaves at the heavens?
When I notice this goodness, this love,
that surrounds,
I remember.
I remember I am loved beyond my shortcomings.
I am loved by a good God.
Receiving this free gift of love,
I become a vessel of divine love.
What must I do?
Let love flow.
Let love flow.
Let love flow.

To Ponder:
“Dear friends, let’s love each other, because love is from God, and everyone who loves is born from God and knows God. The person who doesn’t love does not know God, because God is love.” – 1 John 4:7-8

“You are saved by God’s grace because of your faith. This salvation is God’s gift. It’s not something you possessed. It’s not something you did that you can be proud of.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Reflect upon those times in your life when you’ve felt close to God. Where were you? What activity were you doing or NOT doing? Were you inside or outside? Consider implementing this prayerful time into your coming week.
